Designation	Senior General Ledger Accountant
Job Description	Essential Functions: Responsible for general finance and accounting for PAREXEL India within Hyderabad. Role will develop further depending on PAREXEL's expansion plans in India . Works closely with: Local management team, Bangalore Finance team, Finance Managers in various parts of the company (Corporate Accounting and Operations), Local Auditors, banks and Tax advisors, as well as local authorities and Government agencies Responsibilities Primary: This position is primarily expected to work on accounting requirements as per US GAAP, India GAAP and on Indian statutory filings. During this process the candidate must work very closely with internal teams in India and abroad to ensure the accounts are closed as per the monthly closing calendar and also make sure that all GL accounts are current and properly reconciled. Eventually this role must also keep all required documents, records and schedules ready for local audit requirements in terms of company law, Income tax act and other statutory aspects applicable. Apart from the above requirement this role may also required to be involved in the following activities based on need and time whenever required. - Preparation and submission of VAT, TDS, Softex, FEMA, Service Tax and Company law filings. - Maintain, track and apportion accruals and prepayments - Closely work with GL Teams to assist them in monthly closing activities and providing tax packs. - Closely work with Auditors and Tax consultants on various aspects like audits, tax notices and transfer pricing study etc. Qualifications and experience - Must be a professional accountant with either a CA (Inter) or CS (Inter) with 3 to 5 years experience in reputed industries. IT/ITES industries experience is preferred but not essential. - Excellent hands-on accountant with thorough understanding and experience of Indian GAAP, US GAAP and Indian statutes like SEZ, Company law, FEMA, Income tax law etc. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with verbal and written English - Detail Oriented and Computer Savvy. - Oracle 11i/R12 and Tally experience preferred. - Multi tasking and organized. - Team player and deadline focused - Microsoft experience essential, especially Excel
Desired Profile	Education and Experience: - Graduate with CA (Inter) Qualification;CS (Inter) qualification will be an added advantage - 3-5 years of relevant experience - Knowledge of Oracle Financials, Tally and various refulations like SEZ, Company law, FEMA etc.
